For researchers and journalists
A field recording, a mailbox and a leaked archive, in one place that never leaves your hands.
For researchers, journalists and historians: the material is varied, the sources are sensitive, and the question you will ask next is not the one you asked today.
What you will use
- Every kind of file. Recordings transcribed on your own hardware and searchable to the second; mailboxes and mail stores read into documents; scans read; pictures described if you ask.
- Search four ways. By words in 29 languages plus Chinese, Japanese and Korean; by meaning; by appearance; by question, with an answer that cites its pages.
- Connections drawn for you. Attachments, threads, the documents a page refers to, versions of your notes — as a list or a graph.
- Nothing leaves. Models run where the archive runs; hosted AI is off until you switch it on for a stage and a workspace, and never for a workspace under a barrier.
- Provenance and checksums for what you were handed. The arrival recorded, the file checksummed four ways, read back on a schedule, so what you publish is what you received.
- Notes with versions. Write beside the material; every save is a version, the originals untouched.
